Robbyn Carter was born in California where she received her formal training in Interior Architecture. Having studied at UCLA and Environmental Design at the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, she has explored the possibility of art and design and how this materializes into dynamic spaces. This education has allowed her to worked in several elds that cross between the commercial and art world by exploring material, furniture, and architecture that transcends into interactive dynamic products and environments.
Before moving to Singapore in 2013, she gained a rich experience in high-end hotel design in both California and Europe. Since 2003, she has been working with international developers and designers of world renown on a multitude of projects throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East. While living in Amsterdam, she has worked for Marcel Wanders and various projects for Philippe Starck’s YOO in Asia, Europe and USA.
Robbyn’s experience consists of collaborations with architects, fabricators and clients to create exceptional experiences through space, products, and branding. She enjoys complex and challenging projects that demand a conceptual approach. She enjoys each facet of the design process from concept to fabrication and believes there are few things as rewarding as working on a project from initial brainstorm to completion. Over the course of her career, she was able to accrue a very diverse knowledge base from which to approach any project with a “This is possible. Let’s gure out how.” attitude. This view has aided her greatly in her professional work.
